Varies: It depends on the type of infection that you have. If you have no underlying lung disease than should not last longer that a week to 10 days. Now if one has pneumonia, it may last longer especially if no treatment is given. If one has TB this is very different and hard to fight. One can not specify how long this will last. Viral infections such as bronchitis will last one to three weeks.
