It is: It is described as a collection of pus or matter from a bacterial or fungal source in the brain. From it you can have changes in mental status including confusion, dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, poor focus, irritability, sudden changes in mood, muscle weakness or headaches. Severe symptoms: A brain abscess may present as an expanding intracranial mass, with headache, nausea, vomiting, blurring of vision, dizziness, and perhaps progressive focal limb weakness. But rapid deterioration with high temperature, stiff neck, coma, confusion, delirium develops. Without concerted treatment brain herniation and death can occur.
