How much water intake should i have if i have congestive heart failure?

Depends: Most people with mild to moderate CHF do not need to restrict their water intake. If your serum sodium falls below 130, free water intake must be reduced. Btw, you'll live longer with CHF if you stop smoking. :).

Heart failure: Please work with your cardiologist and / or your primary care doctor regarding changes with your diet. It is important to limit the amount of water as well as salt intake with your disease. Best of luck with your future plans...

Chf: There is no firm rule for water intake in chf. You should be monitoring your intake and daily weights. You shouldn't be gaining weight and you need probably at least a liter to 1.5liter a day of fluid. By monitoring what you are doing, you can reach an intake range that works for your situation.

4 cups of water: If you suffer from chf, you should not consume more than 4 cups of water in a day along with salt restricted to 2to3 grms a day, as salt tends to retain water in your body.
