Further workup: If this is something that is progressive or not improving, i would consider having your pcp order an MRI of your brain and cervical spine. These might be normal, but I have seen patients with similar symptoms with abnormalities of the brain or spinal cord.

Body Pain: Many things can cause this. At seventeen years old i would worry about thyroid issue of problems of elevated calcium. A comprehensive history and physical examination should be very revealing and help you determine the cause. Establishing the cause will help direct treatment. Hope you find your answer soon.

Other factors: You might wish to consider calcium and magnesium therapy. This will help with achieving improved restful sleep together with muscle relaxation. You should consider a 2 to 1 ratio of calcium to magnesium approximately 1200 mg of calcium to 600 mg of magnesium. You might wish to consider seeing your family physician if the condition does not improve.
