A member asked:

What could possibly posses a person to become transgender? being gay is one thing. going to the extreme to become the opposite sex is another.

Think about it: I'm straight, but transgender makes more sense to me than being gay. If you identify with the opposite sex from birth, you will naturally want to be that sex. The object of your affection would then be similar to what straight folk pursue, i.e. The "opposite sex". Either way, we must be open minded. "live and let live".

You need to get: Educated , they are trapped in the wrong body , and trying to get free . Speak to them , you will feel sorry , just like a innocent person incarcerated in a prison , hope you will understand , I am same way like you before i got educated.

Not About "Becoming": It's about "being." not even one of the many gender diverse kids/teens/adults i know/have known would say they "became transgender." in fact, they'd all say they were born w/ a gender identity that didn't match the gender they were assigned at birth - when they were introduced 2 the world w/ an "it's a boy!" or an "it's a girl!" some did & some didn't understand the mismatch at young age.

human mind and the' why' of its thoughts are so far unfathomable. I would suggest not being judgmental of other peoples actions unless they are harmful in general
