Which Herpes: If you are talking about type i causing cold sores, you must be taking antivirals like femvir not antibiotics. Once you have a break out the antivirals only make healing 1 or 2 days sooner. But if you take high dose femvir at first sign of tingling sensation it may prevent a breakup completely. Now with your history it seems like you may also have type ii genital herpes . Must see 1 care md.
