Some side effects: Can occur very quickly. However it can take 2 to 6 weeks to get therapeutic effect when on the optimum dose.

Yes.: It is possible to experience sedating or activating side effects in the first few days after taking an ssri. Usually, the effects wear off after a few days. If you continue to experience fatigue and numbness, speak with your medical provider about possibly changing to a different med.
