Corneal transplant: Corneal transplant involves replacing a person's cornea with a cornea from a dead person. Sometimes the whole cornea is transplanted, and sometimes only the back surface of the cornea is transplanted.

Replacing the cornea: Cornea transplant uses a donor cornea from another person to replace all or a portion of your cornea. In certain instances a prosthetic cornea can be used, but most surgeon would attempt a human corneal transplant first in most circumstances.
