A member asked:

Is tsh w/reflex to ft4 4.06 normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High normal: A TSH of 4.06 is in the upper range of normal. The lab probably did not do the ft4 level, since the TSH was normal. Most people with these results feel perfectly normal. However, it could be a sign that your thyroid is starting to fail. It would be reasonable to repeat the TSH and do a free T4 level in a few months.
