Old blood: Brown discharge is old blood, and nothing to be worried or concerned about. Sometimes the smell is there simply because the blood is old, sometimes smell can signify an infection. Give it a few more days and see if it goes away. If it goes away, then just related to uterus cleaning itself out. If smell continues, then could be an infection and see a doctor for diagnosis.
