Closed reduction?: If you're talking about moving broken nasal bones back into place immediately after a fracture, if done awake expect discomfort even with the pain medication. Sometimes, it's done under general anesthesia. If it's been some time since the injury, closed reduction isn't recommended and most people wait 6-12 months then have a nasal reconstructive rhinoplasty.
