why do i all of a sudden have sharp pain under my right rib cage when i breathe in?

Unclear: If you are having pain under the right rib cage, it may be your gallbladder. Rib trauma/fractures are also a possibility, depending on the scenario. Pain with breathing could also suggest lung pathology. See a physician if your pain is persistent/severe.
