Snoring: Has many causes, of which a deviated septum is one. Sometimes it will help. Sometimes you need palatal and uvular surgery, and or tonsil and adnoids removed. Sometimes you need a CPAP machine for sleep apnea.

Septoplasty: Septoplasty can improve snoring if a deviated septum is the root cause. There are other anatomical issues that can contribute to snoring. Seek an evaluation by a board certified otolaryngologist.

Not always: If your snoring is due to a restricted NASAL airway, then septoplasty may be beneficial. In many other instances this is due to condtiins with the soft palate, tongue, jaw or or pharynx which are not addressed at the time of septoplasty. A sleep study may be necessary in addition to a history and thorough physical examination.
