Change Hygiene: Diarrhea can irritate the anal skin especially from all the needed wiping. Consider a softer toilet paper and increase the fiber in your diet to bulk up your stool. You may consider "sitz baths" where you sit in warm bath water for 10-15 minutes at a time to alleviate symptoms.

OTC MEDS: There are many great over the counter treatment options for acute diarrhea. First, try some of those and if they are not helping then follow with a physician. Remember to continue to try and keep hydrated with fluids as frequent diarrhea can lead to fluid losses quickly. Eat small but frequent meals with low fat content.
