Nerve injury repair: Nerves may be either peripheral or central. Those outside the brain and spinal cord generally have a coating of myelin that is sensitive to b vitamins, specifically b1, b6, b12, and folate (folic acid). Methylfolate (folic acid) and B12 are indicated in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. But before just taking some, have yourself tested to determine if they are needed, and diagnose the reason for nerve injury.
