Is there an antidpressant that does not cause weight gain?

Yes and no...: Any antidepressant can cause weight gain but some more than others. Many would consider bupropion (welbutrin) to be weight neutral but there have been cases of significant weight gain even on this medication.

Wellbutrin & Effexor (venlafaxine): Wellbutrin (generic name bupropion) and Effexor (generic name venlafaxine) are 2 antidepressants that are more activating and may result in weight loss. Prozac (fluoxetine) helps stabilize pts w/ bulimia and may be a more weight neutral medication. I hope you able to find the right treatment for you with a tolerable side effect profile.
