Aspirin: If the aspirin is not enteric coated it gets into the bloodstream very quickly. Enteric coated aspirin dissolves slower as the hard coating has to breakdown before the actual aspirin is absorbed into the bloodstream. That is why, in certain emergency situations, the advice is to take plain aspirin for its quicker action.
