Are allergies worse around bees because of pollen?

Not really: Bees generally don't make pollen allergies worse, but people can be allergic to bee stings. Bee sting allergy is due to an allergy to the insect venom injected during a sting. The pollens that bees transport while gathering nectar from flowers are from predominantly insect-pollinated plants, and these pollens don't cause allergy symptoms. Wind pollinated plants generally cause allergy symptoms.
