Slow Flow: Hi Rose, Anytime you see a brown discharge from the vagina, think 'slow flow'. Often young ladies will have hormonal irregularities and the uterus responds by bleeding. The blood is very small in amount and very slow. It is so slow that it is exposed to air and turns brown. This is very very common. Be patient and after awhile these episodes will be less frequent and finally disappear.
