Lasik eye vision correction -- does it work and is it worth it ?

Absolutely: Lasik does a terrific job of providng glasses and contact lens freedom - in the right people. The procedure is fast, easy to tolerate and works great, but you must be a good candidate. Have an evaluation with a laser vision specialist in your area; this should be someone who specializes in only laser vision correction.

FDA.gov has info: Stay away from anyone that makes promises in medicine and surgery. I believe that the lasik surgeon should be the one to examine the patient (pre-op) and follow the patient after lasik surgery (post-op). The presence of conditions such as cataracts, presbyopia, dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetes damage may eliminate you as candidate use www.Certificationmatters.Org or www.Facs.Org as a starting point.
