My calves and the tops of my feet are covered with red splotches. They don't itch, but they look awful. Some are starting to appear on my forearms.

RED SPLOTCHES: Your "red splotches" can be a result of many things: reaction to medications is a common cause. There are things we do not know about you: male or female? Age bracket? What medications do you take? How long have these blotches been with you? Your should see your regular physician or, better still, a dermatologist.

Fungal?: Its either fungal (athletes foot, what we call tinea pedis) or dermatitis. They are treated totally differently. On a practical basis, try an over the counter antifungal cream designed to treat athlete's foot; if it does not clear a prescription steroid cream may do the trick. Or see a derm up front and know for sure what you are treating.
