Go see 6th doctor?!?: I'm looking at your "additional patient information" but found no mention of tests performed eg imaging studies. If you haven't already had an x-ray, get that 1st. If that doesn't show anything, get an ultrasound. These 2 tests should help narrow down to bone vs soft tissue. Your family doctor can do initial evaluation & then refer to appropriate specialist. Good luck!

Sterno-Costal Pain: I have seen a few patients with this type of pain and it has been arthritic in nature at sterno-costal joint. Each patient we ordered x-ray and once defined we performed cortisone injections to the joint with much success. Patients got off pain meds. Obviously the joint is still the issue and the cause needs to be treated, changing stress placed on the joint by how you move or do your job.
