Not necessarily: If u have cn an ortho & have been told that u r supper loose, don't put ur self in harms way. U may & r more easily injured. Pick ur recreational activities carefully & i would avoid contact sports. The choice is yours. Maybe someone else will answer & have a different opinion. Good luck!

Well...: Osteoarthritis can happen without any sort of sign as well. It is partially a normal part of aging. however more activity and weight bearing through joints can accelerate the wear and tear of the joint. Lastly if the ligaments surrounding the joints are weak they can't hold the joint together in appropriate alignment resulting in extra wear and tear increasing the osteoarthritis in that joint.
