I am having very quick, sharp pains in the left side of my head. i am under a great deal of stress at the present time. should i dismiss it?

No: Never dismiss sharp pains. See a neurologist . Could also be from teeth clenching, bruxism, tmj, or something inside your brain. Could be a pinched nerve. At any rate, you owe to yourself to get a neurologic assessment.Best wishes.

No: You need to see someone who can help diagnose exactly what your problem is. Headache pain could be from many things from something in your head (brain or blood vessel), to clenching your teeth due to stress causing muscle problems, to nerve problems. A proper diagnosis is most important to rule out serious problems, and treat whatever is causing your pain.
