The presenting : Lesion for all viruses is a vesicle, a small pimple-like lesion filled with clear fluid. From that, warts tend to get thick and calloused, you stop seeing skin lines through the center of it ("fingerprint lines"), and start seeing tiny black dots, which are thrombosed capillaries because viruses need your blood to live (unlike bacteria), so they build a network of blood vessels around themselves.
