When its gone: When there is no swelling, redness or discomfort, you can resume contact lens wear. Be sure to start with a new contact, case and bottle of cleaning solution.

2-3 days: You can wear a contact lens two or three days after it is gone. If it has required surgery, you need to wait 2-3 weeks to avoid disturbing the incision..
