Based on type; : Usually for lung cancer- adenocarcinoma; initially 4 (and up to 6 cycles based on different clinical trials) are given for induction and then maintenance chemotherapy can be considered; usually Alimta has been used in our practice but Avastin (bevacizumab) has also been used; in squamous cell either 4-6 cycles are completed and then monitored for regrowth;.
