Vomitting center: There is an area in your brain (vomitting center)that when stimulated, can lead to nausea/vomitting.Kidney stones cause a lot of pain, which in itself can cause a release of certain chemicals that stimulate the vomitting center. There is a a long nerve (vagus) that runs from your brain to your abdomen which emits signals to the center when there is inflammation in the abdominal cavity, such as stones.
