A member asked:

Can putting on tight clothing during pregnancy have negative effects on the baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Uterus stron muscle: Your uterus is very strong muscle that will protect baby from restrictive clothing. You would have to wear something so tight that you would be unbearably uncomfortable in order for blood flow to the baby to be compromised. The one problem you may run into if wearing too tight stockings/socks can lead to water retention in the legs towards the end of the pregnancy.
