A member asked:

Can you use hydrocortisone 1% for a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not by itself: Yeast infections often have an inflammatory component to them. Topical steroids can reduce some of that inflammation but will not (by themselves) resolve the infection. There are combination anti-fungal/topical steroid combination creams/lotions that are much more effective than Hydrocortisone alone.
