Possibly ovulation: The 4 d or so prior to ovulation are often accompanied by a thing watery mucous discharge. This signals a fertile time of the month, and can be helpful in predicting ovulation to help you conceive, or somewhat helpful in avoiding pregnancy during this time if you don't want to be pregnant.
