Depends: St your age there are several options. The birth control pill is effective and works well for most women. Nsaid's can decrease the amount of bleeding with your period as well. Surgical options include d&c, endometrial ablation, and in some cases hysterectomy. Talk to your doctor to see what is best to try first.
