Can you take hydroxyzine pomoate and zanax together?

Very young: You are so young why are you on xanax (alprazolam) ? You can take togather prefer not as both can make sleepy , so try only one or dose it half . Too many pills not good idea.

It depends: If the doses are low enough that you do not get too sedated, then it is no problem. The sedation from Hydroxyzine wears off in about 2-3 weeks even in the most antihistamine sensitive of patients. Hydroxyzine helps generalized anxiety, desire to self-mutilate and allergies. Xanax (alprazolam) helps in panic but its half-life does not make it good for constant use often because of rebound anxiety in between doses and i've never found it to be very helpful in generalized anxiety. I don't know what type of anxiety you have, but it would recommend that you discuss these medications with your doctor or psychiatrist. Never suddenly cut the dose of xanax (alprazolam) in half. There are issues regarding withdrawal that can occur and the timing of the dosing is very sensitive and needs to be written out for you by your psychiatrist best wishes to you.
