To be clear about ..: Metaststasis, this is a process that is extremely complex, and it's likely that the majority of solid tumors harbor clones that have the capacity to metastasize long before a patient's primary tumor is discovered. Some refer to this as the "metastatic toolbox". The whole reason for adjuvant chemotherapy is to address the existence of micrometastatic disease. Wishing you well as you move forward.

No telling: You are asking how long it will take metastases to appear if you were diagnosed with stage ii and treated with the hope of cure. I can tell you that if you are disease-free in 5 years, you probably have a cure. I am also assuming this is non-small-cell carcinoma. I hope that rather than calculate odds, you will cherish each day, and resolve to live fully whether you have much or little time.
