A healthy life style: Longevity can reach or exceed the normal range. The variables that prolong longevity are a healthy diet, 45-60min of exercise at least 5 times/week, avoiding smoking, maintennce of near normal levels of glycemia, and therapeutic hba1c levels, and maintaining normal cholesterol, blood pressure and body weight. The genetic, gender and other unknowns that effect longevity can not be modified.
