Nerve damage: Damage or impingement of a nerve causes numbness. Nerves can often do some healing, but not always. Nerves can be damaged during surgery or in the post-operative period. Please discuss the situation with your surgeon first. If you don't get satisfactory answers, take the matter up with your family doctor. Sorry to hear of your problem. Good luck.

See below: This could be several things, most of which are unrelated to the surgery. I would suggest talking to your surgeon to make sure none of these issues are related to their work. Then i would suggest talking to a neurologist to make sure nothing else is going on.
