Does ultrasounds give fetal age or gestionation age?

Gestational age: Ultrasounds factor in the manner in which we 'date' pregnancies and they are basing analysis of your baby's growth against all babies of the same age. Hope that helps!

Menstrual Age: Most report express the fetal age in terms of menstrual age. That is, based on the time from the first day of the last menstrual period. We frequently will report gestational age but what we are really reporting is the menstrual age. Normal full term pregnancy is 40 weeks menstrual age.
