In general, yes: If it returns to normal your body has handled the viral infection that caused it and repaired itself, unless of course it was caused by drinking too much wine in the first place, then no, you won't.

DCM: It is not a good idea to imbibe alcolhol when you have dilated cardiomyopathy. Alcolhol is a cellular toxin and won't do your heart muscle any good.
