Root canal: If your cardiologist gives you medical clearance, it should not be hard finding someone to do the needed root canal. They should at least get you on some type of antibiotic therapy.

Immediate: Jc, go immediately. Any infection can spread, and you would want your tooth to be addressed as soon as possible. Call your dentist to get a referral to an endodontist as soon as possible.

I can't see why: There should be no reason for what you describe. I'm not sure what your 'cardiac background' refers to. I suggest that you speak to your cardiologist and have him\her prepare a written medical clearance to go ahead with the rct along with any precautions necessary prior to and during treatment. With that in hand, any qualified endodontist can start treatment asap (unless it jeopardizes your life).
