Imaging stress tests: Perfusion stress tests and echo stress tests are roughly similar in their sensitivity and specificity. The experience and expertise of the performing lab/team is more important than general test results. Some labs are far better with one than the other test. What information is desired is also critical as they show different information sets.

No: Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of these tests are not the same. Stress tests are performed to evaluate for ischemia, poor blood flow to the heart muscle. Each test could provide additional but somewhat different information as well. The choice of which test depends on clinical factors and what additional information may be obtained from these tests.
