Who's prescribing?: If you've been on bupropion for 7 years, a physician (whether a psychiatrist or not) would have been prescribing this medicine for you. You should talk with this doctor about your wish to taper off the medication. There are smaller increments that could be given so that you can gradually decrease your dosage. You need to see a doctor to help assess the timing of your medication change anyway.

Talk 2 prescriber: Whenever a person takes medication, there should be a medical professional who is aware of your condition and takes responsibliity for prescribing the medication. That person can review your condition and help you monitor the tapering of the medication which should be easy to do.
