Yes, but: For the most part, it's ok to work through your pain and continue to work. Of course, use common sense - if the pain is debilitating or if there is associated weakness or numbness or bowel/bladder symptoms or anything else that concerns you, see a physician for further evaluation.

Back pain: The back pain can be caused by muscle strain, spinal stenosis, ruptured disc, nerve impingement ... It sounds like you have some nerve pain. I would recommend no heavy lifting and repetitive bending. You should seek help from a doctor. You might benefit from a comprehensive evaluation and treatment.
