Common nerve roots: The pain fibers in the spine innervate areas of the body (dermatomes) in relation to their proximity to the spine during development. The heart, upper chest and left arm develop with the same set of nerves. When you get angina, the heart hurts and co-stimulates the nerves of the arm and upper chest. Always keep in close contact with your cardiologist if you have this.
