Often needs repair: The brachial plexus is a network of nerves travelling from spine through shoulder/arm/hand, injury is caused by stretching, tearing, restriction on the complex of nerves; obesity (fat restriction), sleeping where head pushed up and shoulder pushed down may cause it but usually trauma. Mild to moderate may get better on own/pt, but moderate to severe often require surgical repair.
