Take care of them: Talk with your doctor to see what medication options are available to you. Sometimes foot injections provide temporal relief, and the right shoes and arch supports/foot orthoses can be of help. Sometimes foot surgery is necessary. Seeing a podiatrist might afford you some options to make living with severe arthritis in the foot more bearable.
