Valium gets stronger: When a beta blocker like toprol (metoprolol) is administered with diazepam then in some patients the effects of the diazepam are amplified. The mechanism may involve inhibition of the metabolism of diazepam or other more obscure mechanisms. I would talk to your prescribing physician for more information! stay safe!
