Sense of smell: After an infection of any kind, the nerve endings could have suffered a minor injury which causes them to sense things a little differently. It could also be that there is residual material from the infection, like debris that could be sitting in the sinuses that you could be smelling. Because this is not normal, you should have an ENT evaluate.
