Not normal: Most women have a cycle about every 28 days. If you are bleeding twice in a month, or have bleeding that you consider unrelated to your normal cycle, then you need to be evaluated. Women over the age of 40 should have: 1. An exam 2. An endometrial biopsy 3. An ultrasound a common cause of extra bleeding is uterine polyps!
