POTASS. PERMANGANATE: Many years ago, weak solutions of potassium permanganate have been used to treat various superficial fungal infections. Because it stains the skin and it's toxicity if taken internally, there are many more effective and safer options. I have not seen potassium permanganate used in quite some time.
