Helps prevent: The ointment is better at preventing scars after a burn, rather than healing scars after they have already developed. If you have already developed a scar, treatments like vit e would work better, but no topical creams are great for reducing scars significantly. Hope this helps!

NO: This has no effect on scars. Used on severe burns at the time of injury. Vite is an old one, seen to work the same as vaseline. Many products clamor for your attention to "heal" scars. They want your money. If you have asignificant scar, see a dermatogist has no effect on scars. Used for severe burns. Vit e is an old one long noted to be as effective as vaseline. Lots of things.
